Maureen Krause is a trained European goldsmith and diamond setter. She studied for six years under master goldsmith, Ron Ennis. This extensive training gave her the unique ability to complete jewellery from sketch to finished piece. After Ron retired, Maureen decided to establish her own jewellery business, HM Krause Jewellers in 1988. Since then, Maureen has built a reputable business based on honesty and integrity, and her quality workmanship became well-recognized.
"I try to be the person that is at the front of what we do, and I really only want to build good relationships; this includes sourcing our materials from trusted suppliers through working on special commitments with clients. The fact that people come to us for their jewellery is truly exciting and really special to me."
Her exceptional attention to detail has allowed her to enjoy designing jewellery for over 35 years. Fifteen years ago, she pursued her passion for art. She truly feels "The better you understand a medium, the more creative you can be with it." Maureen enjoys exploring the possibilities of creating a variety of materials, being given time now to become "the artisan jeweller".
While growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, the talent for running a business that produces exceptional craftsmanship came naturally. She strives for only the best for the clients and is one of the few female certified goldsmiths with an eye for perfection.
